The Trudoxhill Community Fund

The Trudoxhill Community Fund is an exciting new initiative aimed at enriching the lives of the people of our Parish. Thanks to the generous endowment from Frome Solar Limited, the owners and operators of the Monksham Solar Farm, our community now has an annual fund dedicated to supporting local activities, events, and opportunities.

A committee of local residents has been established to oversee and administer the fund. This ensures that requests can be processed swiftly, allowing for a rapid turnaround in funding decisions. We encourage residents to apply for funding for parish events, community groups, or various activities that benefit Trudoxhill. Applications for funding of up to £500 can be made via a simple online form.

The decision-making committee includes representatives from the Parish, the Village Hall Committee, the Parish Council, and Marston Church, ensuring a diverse and comprehensive review process. The committee evaluates applications based on four key principles:

  1. Community Benefit: The proposed item or activity must provide a clear benefit to the community of Trudoxhill.
  2. Inclusivity: We prioritise activities and events that are inclusive and accessible to all members of our community.
  3. Value for Money: We assess whether the proposed item or activity offers good value for the amount of money requested.
  4. Proper Management: We need assurance that any awarded funds will be managed appropriately and responsibly.

Whether you want to organise a community event, start a local group, or run an activity, the Trudoxhill Community Fund is here to support you. We can help cover expenses such as village hall hire and other necessary costs to ensure your event or activity is a success. Applying for the fund is straightforward. Simply fill out the Google Form here or scan the QR code below and we will provide you with a quick decision. Let’s work together to create vibrant, engaging, and inclusive opportunities for everyone in Trudoxhill.
